“PASSING THE TORCH”

So, unfortunately this marks the end of another chapter in my life. By far one of the most eventful, the most fun, educational, and meaningful chapter as to who I am and who I will be, moving on! These old guys have shared a lot with me and taught me even more.

Brent: He taught me that determination brings reward. Even when you don’t see light at the end of the tunnel, you never know where the next turn will lead you. And success is only as limited as you make it.

Mack: My uncle taught me that no matter what goes wrong in your endeavors, you have to stay passionate about the things/decisions you make because, if you don’t have that passion on your own, no one else will.

Ed: ooh….! Well, I learned absolutely nothing I want to take with me from this old dude. Ha ha, just joking! He taught me that you’re never too old to have fun, and I mean that with the best intentions. Even when he was carrying a lot on his plate, he kept a smile and kept the jokes rolling. No matter how stupid they were. And it’s inspiring to know that just because things might not be going your way, you have to make the best out of every moment in life and figure things out in between.

…we had our difference at times it never changed the fact that we would do anything for each other at a moment’s notice! And that’s friendship.

Overall… we were and still are all friends, and even more than that – brothers and family. If I can have one last say in the band, it would be to never forget that. Never forget where you started, and how far y’all have come!

Y’all are a great bunch of men and even though we had our difference at times it never changed the fact that we would do anything for each other at a moment’s notice! And that’s friendship.

So, to all my friends and family who I have been blessed to meet and get to know personally on the road, and even those whom I just came into contact with once or twice, I can honestly say I’m going to miss y’all! Each of you have played roles in making this experience one I will never forget! This won’t be the last time you see me. I PROMISE!

Your boy, Steven, will be around still making y’all “Back That Thang Up”, “Get Low”, and go “Bottoms Up” sooner or later.

My departing words are to strive for happiness and find greatness in between!

Steven Marshall
